Where Does the Time Go?

Friday, December 10th, 2010

iStock_000014510075SmallYour TIME  can be eaten up with work, chores, outside commitments and many  other things we just simply  do not enjoy.  If you find yourself saying, “There is never enough time to relax” , step back and take a moment to really think about it.

We all have been given the same 24 hours in a day. How do others seem to possess more Balance in life?

Tip: Start by simply playing with your family. Be silly!  Since most of us are  time and calendar driven,  capture a family night by physically writing it on your calendar. Sit down and enjoy a toy or board game. Enjoy the calm that settles in as you  find yourself relaxing.

Entering the Homework Zone

iStock_000013694711MediumDo you have one in your house? The homework zone is a simple area that you can create with your children for when it is time to get down to business each day! This area should be comfortable, functional and (fairly) free from disturbances. Stock this spot with a few supplies that will make it easier to complete assignments. Choose any area EXCEPT the kitchen table or counter where you eat. There is just too much set up and break down here.
Place importance on a permanent homework zone now, and you will help teach lifelong study skills and techniques for success!
