Do you have one in your house? The homework zone is a simple area that you can create with your children for when it is time to get down to business each day! This area should be comfortable, functional and (fairly) free from disturbances. Stock this spot with a few supplies that will make it easier to complete assignments. Choose any area EXCEPT the kitchen table or counter where you eat. There is just too much set up and break down here.
Place importance on a permanent homework zone now, and you will help teach lifelong study skills and techniques for success!

When you have LESS, you are able to enjoy what you have MORE. Make one simple, attainable goal at a time. For example, ” Tonight I am going to clear out a kitchen drawer that is getting out of hand.” or … “Saturday I am going to make a permanent DONATION BOX for the garage, show my family and ask them to help fill it!”

Getting Started. That is the first key. The reality is that you won’t find the time if you continue to pledge that you “don’t have the time!” Start today and commit to 15 minutes a day. Tackle a junk drawer. Place all items you don’t need or use in a donation box. Throw away things that are broken. Group like items together and divided from other item groups.
The second key is Becoming Consistent. Keep at it. 15 minutes a day equals 1 hour 45 minutes a week, 7 hours a month! Every minute you spend adds up to more order and less stress.
